Sinhala language part-time 1-on-1 online tutor on Zoom

Price per hour: 500 Rupees
Expected number of working hours per week: 5
Project length: 10 weeks (extendable)

Previous teaching or tutoring experience: not necessary

Prerequisites: a stable internet connection (at least 5 Mbps download and upload), a device connected to the internet, having Zoom installed on your device

Required Skills: intermediate English, proficient/native Sinhala, familiarity with Zoom settings and operation

Required Qualities: punctuality, patience, flexibility, calmness, willingness to learn on the job, to constantly improve one’s teaching skills and cater to the student’s needs

Job description:

Connect to the Zoom classroom exactly at the time requested by the student

Attend the class for the whole duration that was booked by the student (25, 50 or 75 minutes)

Tutor basic Sinhala such as (but not limited to): pronunciation, the alphabet, vocabulary, conversation, simple translations etc according to the student’s preferences and requirements

Assist the student’s Sinhala learning progress

Motivate and encourage the student to keep learning Sinhala

Eligible candidates will be invited to an interview in Zoom.
